Yield – 4 dozen
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 3/4 cup finely chopped nuts, almonds/pecans (optional)
Cream margarine, powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix in salt, flour and nuts. Roll in balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake @ 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until set but not brown. Roll in powdered sugar once while warm from the oven and again when cool.
