Yield: 6 dozen 2 inch cookies

  • 1 c margarine
  • 3/4 c brown sugar
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 t baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c flour
  • 2 1/2 c oatmeal
  • 1 c raisins

Cream margarine, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla.  Beat in eggs.  Add the rest of the ingredients.  Drop heaping tablespoons of batter onto ungreased cookie sheets.  Bake @ 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes until lightly browned

Variation:  Bake in two 8 x 8 pans at 350 degrees 18-20 minutes, cut into squares.
