1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c bread crumbs (or the crumbs of 1 slice of bread)
1 small onion, chopped fine
1 egg
1 T parsley, dried
1/4 t salt

Mix all ingredients well, form into a loaf, cover with tin foil, and bake at 350 for about one hour or until thoroughly cooked, slice and serve. Be careful to not overcook, meatloaf goes from moist and tender to tough and chewy if cooked too dry.

Alternate cooking method: shape into a doughnut form with a whole in the middle, place in a glass dish and cook in a microwave, approximately 10-12 minutes*, let meat rest 5-7 minutes, slice and serve.

* microwaves vary, cook in 2 to 3 minute increments, and check for doneness between each baking period.
