One refrigerated pie crust
Filling:1 cup ham or sausage
1/2 cup onion
1 cup fresh mushrooms
1 pack sliced swiss cheese 8 oz
Custard:1 1/2 cup milk
1 clove crushed garlic
Bake pie crust in a standard pie dish, 450 for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned.
Layer in the crust: ham or sausage, cooked, chopped and drained; onion, diced and sauteed; fresh mushrooms, sliced and sauteed; then top with swiss cheese.
Next, combine all ingredients for the custard, mix well. Place dish in oven with the shelf pulled out, then slowly pour custard mixture over cheese until pie crust is full.
Bake 300 degrees for 35-50 minutes, until set, that is firm and not liquid.
Let Quiche rest for several minutes before serving.
Variation: Consider adding spinach or broccoli, maybe change the cheese to cheddar or mozzarella, or add some additional herbs like oregano or Basil.
