1 cup (up to a full can) Beer, at room temperature
18 oz soft cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon tabasco sauce
dash garlic powder
1 small round rye bread loaf
In a blender, combine alternately/gradually all but bread, use as much beer as you need to get a nice dipping texture to the mixture. Mix until light and well blended. Serve in hollowed out rye bread with extra bread arranged around the edge.
Variation: serve with warm soft pretzels instead of rye bread.
