Dust steak with garlic powder and salt, on both sides.
Prepare the grill for high heat direct grilling, at least 500 degrees (turn all burners on high heat). Sear the steak, for about 5 minutes on each side. Turn the grill on low and continue to cook until the steak is done at medium rare to medium or at 135 degrees internal temp. Let it rest for 5 minutes, slice and serve. Chimichurri sauce is a good accompaniment.
