3-4 cups of loosely packed broccoli florets, about 2 heads
2 tablespoons olive oil*
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 large cloves of minced garlic
Juice of 1/2 a lemon**

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Place the broccoli, olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic into a gallon ziplock bag and shake to coat the broccoli well. Spread the broccoli in an even layer on a baking sheet.

Bake 15-20 minutes or until the broccoli is tender enough to pierce a stem with a fork.

Transfer the broccoli to a serving dish and squeeze the lemon over the broccoli, being careful any seeds do not fall into the dish.

* Variation: replace the 2 tablespoons olive oil with 1 teaspoon sesame oil and 1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons olive oil.

** Variation: replace the juice of ½ of a lemon with the juice of 1/2 of a lime
